# Understanding Ardoise

> Marketplace, Business, School and Learning: choose the journey for your role and country.

Ardoise brings four commercial layers together in the existing applications and shared infrastructure. Choose your use case before exploring modules.

| Layer | Use case and guide |
| - | - |
| Ardoise Marketplace | [Find an educator, book and follow lessons](/en/guide-utilisateur/marketplace) |
| Ardoise Business | [Run tutoring activity and an institute](/en/guide-utilisateur/business) |
| Ardoise School | OHADA school operations: [pupils](/en/guide-utilisateur/eleves), [academic work](/en/guide-utilisateur/academique), [finance](/en/guide-utilisateur/finance) |
| Ardoise Learning | [Library, learning support and Academy boundaries](/en/guide-utilisateur/learning) |

## Countries and languages

French is the primary OHADA product language; English may be offered. German is not an OHADA product language. German is primary in Austria, with English and French available according to the journey.

<Warning>
  Ardoise School, school accounting and payroll are not offered to Austrian schools. In Austria, use Marketplace, Business and Learning functions actually available there. German School pages are OHADA reference translations, not an Austrian offering. Features and providers differ by country; CountryConfig does not establish regulatory approval.
</Warning>

## Accounts and data

Start with [accounts and access](/en/guide-utilisateur/premiers-pas), including voluntary account deletion for every role. OHADA schools host their private records in their own installation. Public profiles, Marketplace contracts, identities and shared operations belong to the platform. Configured cloud backups and integrations can transfer necessary data: see [architecture and boundaries](/en/guide-technique/architecture).

## Shared integrations

OPS, identity, permissions, verification, payments, CountryConfig, audit, communications and [API/MCP](/en/plateforme/api) are shared infrastructure, not additional commercial products. Check [pricing conditions](/en/plateforme/abonnement) and [payment capabilities](/en/plateforme/paiements) in your actual journey. A documented function may require permissions, activation or a pilot.
