# Downloading the Excel financial statements

> Generate and download the Excel workbook of financial statements, pre-filled from your data.

<Note>This page concerns Ardoise School in the OHADA scope, subject to enabled modules and permissions. School, school accounting and payroll are not offered in Austria. Check local requirements; CountryConfig does not certify compliance.</Note>

Ardoise can generate an **Excel workbook** of the financial statements, pre-filled with your school's data and structured according to the applicable official template (SYSCOHADA chart).

## Steps

1. Open **Finance**.
2. Click **Financial statements**.
3. Select the relevant **financial year**.
4. Ardoise **validates** your data and shows the result.
5. Click **Download Excel**.

## Validation before download

Before generating the file, Ardoise checks in particular:

* that the **balance sheet balances** (assets = liabilities);
* that the **income statement** reconciles;
* that **treasury** reconciles;
* that **fixed assets** and their depreciation are consistent.

If a blocking error exists, the download is **disabled** and Ardoise shows what needs correcting. You therefore never download an inconsistent financial statement.

## What the workbook contains

The workbook follows the structure of the official template: cover page (school identification), balance sheet assets, balance sheet liabilities, income statement, cash flow statement and indicators. The applicable notes are filled in from your data.

## Before filing the file

<Warning>
  Always check the generated statements before any filing. Ardoise pre-fills the accounting data, but the **final review** and the official filing are your accountant's responsibility.
</Warning>

## Each school sees only its own data

The generated file contains only **your** school's data. No other school's data appears in it.

## Template version

For each statement generated, Ardoise records the **template version** used and the validation result. You can therefore keep a trace of what was produced, and when.
