# Marketplace: find and follow an educator

> Profiles, verification, booking, contracts, hour packages, lessons and payment tracking.

## Search and compare

On [Marketplace](https://ardoiseeduc.com/teachers), choose your country and the available subject, location and teaching-mode filters. Read the profile, declared availability, rates and reviews. Verification identifies checks on the account or documents; it does not guarantee educational outcomes or every lesson's quality. Declared availability is not a confirmed booking.

## Prepare the family account or tutor profile

The parent creates an account, records the child concerned and books using their own family relationships. A child's access does not grant access to other families. Tutors complete their profile, subjects, availability and required verification in their existing workspace. Institute affiliation requires explicit tutor consent: see [Business](/en/guide-utilisateur/business).

## Book and accept

1. Open the tutor profile and start booking.
2. Select the child, subject, teaching mode and offered commitment: an hour package or a contractual recurring commitment according to the displayed options.
3. Review the server preview: amount, currency, hours, conditions and applicable fees. Do not infer fees from an old screenshot or a universal rate.
4. Submit the request; the tutor reviews and accepts or declines the contract from their workspace. Each party retains their own decision.
5. Follow the contract state and any payment/activation steps. Submitting a request or returning from checkout does not by itself prove a contract is active or paid.

## Lessons, hours and statements

Open lesson tracking within the contract. The tutor records a lesson and its duration; the parent confirms or disputes it according to the available actions. Review recorded hours, their status, the package balance and the statement. Video calls use [contract permissions](/en/plateforme/visioconference). Parent/tutor messaging remains private; institute affiliation alone does not expose it to an operator.

The lesson statement and payment state are tracking tools. They do not replace a commercial invoice, accounting ledger or payroll. [Payments and fees](/en/plateforme/paiements) depend on the country and deployed journey; Ardoise does not promise custody of Austrian lesson funds.

## Cancel, dispute or book again

Open the contract and use the cancellation or dispute action offered for its current state. Read the displayed consequences before confirming; a dispute does not automatically create a refund. Keep the contract and lessons in history. To resume lessons, use the tutor's new-booking journey and check the new preview: old terms are not automatically renewed.

## Acquisition and limits

Marketplace-acquired families retain the configured fees for that acquisition. An institute's own-customer exemption depends on verified attribution in [Business](/en/guide-utilisateur/business), not a checkbox freely selected by the parent.

<Note>
  Contractual recurring commitments and hour packages exist. Full dated recurring lesson generation, group lessons, waitlists and absence/no-show workflows are not complete. Distinguish declared availability, contractual hours and a confirmed recurring calendar.
</Note>

Every parent, child with an account or tutor can [delete their own account](/en/guide-utilisateur/premiers-pas#delete-my-account).
